Summer in Rio

The italian brand L.G.R collaborates with Frescobal Carioca. The four-piece collection will be showcased in the new Frescobal Carioca store, in Notting Hill.

For this summer the luxury beachwear brand Frescobol Carioca is launching its first venture into the world of eyewear in collaboration with luxury Italian brand, L.G.R. Having stocked the brand in their stores for the last few seasons with great success, Frescobol Carioca have decided to design a line of men’s sunglasses that combines their Brazilian aesthetic with LGR’s Italian craftsmanship.
Harry Brantly, cofounder of Frescobol Carioca, and Luca Gnecchi Ruscone, founder of L.G.R, have been longtime friends and so the transition into business partners seemed natural. The philosophy of both brands have a lot in common, both being aimed at men who choose to live their life on the road, constantly travelling and seeking new adventures. The collection comprises of four carefully designed sunglasses, each handcrafted by L.G.R’s artisans in Italy, created to be durable, stylish and unique.
The colour palette reflects that of Frescobol Carioca’s core designs with blues and greys taking centre stage.
The use of cellulose acetate by L.G.R during the crafting process ensures the sunglasses are both durable and flexible, adapting to the wearers face over time.
