Through Japanese Tradition

Detail-oriented, minimalist, lightweight and inspired by Japanese craftsmanship: here is the first Etnia Barcelona collection to be made from titanium

words Marilena Roncarà

Once again Etnia Barcelona surprises with its new release. Much more than just a collection, this is a journey through Japanese tradition, culture and craftsmanship. This edition is crafted using pure titanium, 100% made in Japan and it is important to know that titanium is not only one of the most resistant and lightweight materials in the eyewear industry, but it is also hypoallergenic. Indeed, for this collection the brand has focused its energy on research into new materials and in using its know-how to bring life to new products. The latest release is available in 10 models: 6 optical glasses and 4 sunglasses. The brand’s experience and detailed-oriented approach can be seen in these new models and in each of their component parts. The entire collection allows us to admire and to appreciate the Land of the Rising Sun and brings us closer to its emblematic thousand-year-old culture: delicate, minimalist shapes, prints reminiscent of the armor worn by legendary samurais and sober, vintage colours, not forgetting of course the emblematic touch of colour that makes the company’s models stand out. The sun collection also features a premium model to be launched at the beginning of April in 2 colours. For the optical models, the brand has opted for designs that combine two excellent materials which come together harmoniously: titanium and Mazzucchelli acetate. Etnia Barcelona’s Titanium collection has made a bold entrance thanks to its innovation with very resistant, high-quality materials, such as Japanese titanium and Barberini anti-glare mineral lenses. This is a sophisticated collection that combines style, technology, tradition and modernity.
