Everything is ready for the 32nd edition of IOFT. It is one of Asia’s leading eyewear exhibitions gathering the best of Japanese and European high-quality eyewear companies. IOFT runs from October 8th to 10th in Tokyo at Tokyo Big Sight, welcoming 370 exhibitors and 14,000 buyers from all over the world. The exhibition is organized jointly by Reed Exhibition Japan and Fukui Optical Association – both of whom have confirmed the ‘Firm business platform in Japan and Asia’ concept, as they strongly believe that the 2019 show will generate an increase in the growing interest in it. The numbers speak for themselves. There are still four months to go until IOFT and already 89% of the space has been booked. IOFT will be divided into five separate zones, each of which will feature a different theme: ‘Fukui Zone’ with products mostly from Fukui – the main prefecture in Japan for eyewear production, ‘Designers Zone’ gathers Japanese and International designer brands, ‘General Zone’ is the place for eyewear accessories, testing equipment, lenses and frames, whilst ‘Luxury Zone’ showcases luxury eyewear brands and ‘IOFT Boutique’ is a zone dedicated to the most interesting avant-garde expressions of contemporary eyewear. IOFT will also be the occasion to celebrate Japanese eyewear with the JEA award: the ceremony will take place in the Exhibition Hall on October 8th.
