Good’s eyewear – Bringing out the value of the project

Good’s eyewear is inspired by the beauty of Naples and its first collection celebrates seven great architects who worked in the city

words Editorial Staff

The whole Good’s eyewear philosophy is contained in a highly topical message “The right way to see things“. The original concept of this new brand was inspired by the idea of bringing out the value of the project, the design of the glasses to the surface, making the most hidden details and elements visible. The project was born in Naples, the millenary cradle of European civilization where history, art and craftsmanship merge in the streets, in the neighborhoods, in the buildings. The first collection “The Architetture Collection” proposes 7 different models named after 7 great architects who worked in Naples between the end of the sixteenth century and 2000: Antonio Niccolini, Cosimo Fanzago, Luigi Vanvitelli, Luigi Cosenza, Errico Alvino, Ferdinando Sanfelice, Giancarlo Alisio. The architecture is found in the details, particularly in the cores of the side rods, where the architectural elements – the ashlar, pilasters and pilasters – are used as structural and ornamental elements. The metal element, enclosed in the temples, is the distinctive detail and is visible, thanks to the transparency of the acetates. In the first collection, three are the variants of the souls, architectural citations of three churches: the alternate bosses of the portal of San Gregorio Armeno, the diamond-tipped bosses of the facade of the Gesù Nuovo church and the fluted pilasters of the Certosa di San Martino.
The soul is the essence of the whole Good’s project supported by the passionate study of art history, from which a unique limited edition eyewear collection was born, with each numbered piece, produced with precious craftsmanship and with the most high technology. The choice of materials is a central part of the project, totally sustainable, which respects a precise protocol in terms of supply chain and use of resources. The frames are made of Mazzucchelli’s M49 bio acetate, 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable, without chemical agglomerates to avoid allergic reactions. The exclusive Good’s glasses holders are in vegetable leather derived from corn.
