The 35th edition of the International Optical Fair Tokyo, organized by rX Japan ltd. and Fukui Optical association, will be held from 18 to 20 October, 2022, at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan. International visitors and exhibitors are expected to be back at this year’s edition, along with a large number of Japanese regional buyers. The 2022 show will also have a more international flavour with 230 exhibitors from all over the world and the return of the French pavilion. Actually, thanks to the easing of travel restrictions by the Japanese government, many international designers from France, Spain, Italy and Denmark, among others, are deciding to come back to IOFT.

Not only the return of the French pavilion but also the comeback of the Korean exhibitors is one of the special features of the show. To complete it all, the Opening Ceremony of IOFT 2022 will host leaders from the major retailers, wholesalers, association members, and buyers of the eyewear industry who express full support for IOFT. Finally, the Japan Eyewear Award, one of the industry's foremost awards given to the best designed/technological new products to be marketed in Japan or any other country after July 1st, 2022, has reached its 25th edition, with judging and screening that will be conducted by the Japan eyewear award committee.
