Launched this September, the Austrian brand is ready to present its new collection. We had a chat with Daniel Liktor, Business Unit Manager of neubau eyewear

What is the inspiration for 2017?

Our upcoming collections 2017 are inspired by roundish as well as straight line and edgy designs you can find in several industries like interior design, fashion, car design, eyewear and further fashion accessories. Besides topics like urban zeitgeist & sustainability became major influences of our upcoming collections. In terms of colouring we have two topics that stand out: tone-in-tone and x-ray/crystal clear

Is there something that is particularly special for you?

The neubau eyewear design itself is very special. All our frames are our unique interpretation of vintage frame design. They are contemporary, easy to wear, feel and look good in our consumers faces.

What about the materials?

We offer two materials: our stainless steel and lightweight polymer (SPX). Especially the polymer frames are extremely lightweight, durable, flexible and guarantee a perfect fit.

Can you make a little balance of these first months?

We entered the market as newcomer brand mid of season, very challenging! Nevertheless we created first success stories out there, we are available in over 400 doors and opticians. The past months showed that we came up with something the market has need for and we are very motivated to see how we can evolve neubau eyewear in future.

What is the relation between Neubau and Silhouette?

The neubau eyewear is a brand out of Silhouette International, one of the biggest independent eyewear manufacturers and we are proud of it. One crucial benefit is the 52 years competence in developing and producing premium eyewear in Austria the company has to offer!

What are your future goals?

We have many very cool topics to come. We want to grow and become a major player within the segment of lifestyle eyewear brands.
