This Spring 2021 Campaign by Oliver Peoples, called Malibu Confidential, is a creative escape. The story is set in the picturesque hills of Malibu, which give the sensation of being pulled from an old Hollywood movie. The campaign, seen through the lens of the fashion photographer Dennis Leupold, features the rising actors Ross Butler (13 Reasons Why) and Corey Knight (We Are Who We Are) alongside the influential models Hannah Ferguson and Yasmin Wijnaldum and it is set at the Steinman House, designed by the mid-century modern architectural pioneer, Craig Ellwood.

The new styles of the collection make an ode to the bold and colorful times of the 60s and 70s, together with custom gradient lenses, luxurious metal frames, distinct acetates and elaborate filigrees. The different optical frames feature a vintage-inspired nose bridge accompanied by gradient glass lenses or a strong acetate build in a square shape that feels timeless. Alongside the new shapes, the Malibu Confidential collection reintroduces iconic acetates from the Oliver Peoples’ archives like the YTB and 382, first introduced in 1987 and now reimagined for the today. Throughout this campaign, these iconic acetates are presented together with the bold new styles and the frames serve as one of the rare clues into the lives of the characters.
