Oliver Peoples and Brunello Cucinelli announce the third chapter of their partnership with the Fall/Winter 2022 collection
Oliver Peoples and Brunello Cucinelli announce, the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, the third chapter of their partnership. In an evolution of the unmistakable stylistic code forged together, this collection offers six new frames, including the first eyewear bearing the name of the Italian entrepreneur - Mr. Brunello- and an exclusive ski mask.
In keeping with the inspiration behind the frame, Mr. Brunello is an authentic classic. Made of two different precious materials, natural horn and acetate, this sunglasses represents the meeting of all the elements that distinguish the partnership: timeless design, combinations of lenses and refined materials in captivating earth tones and craftsmanship, while the exclusive ski goggle by Oliver Peoples and Brunello Cucinelli is particularly noteworthy, with interchangeable lenses depending on the conditions and an elasticated band personalized with the logos of the two brands.
The collection also includes Griffo, an acetate model with vintage-inspired elements and a characteristic angular shape and three Made in Japan titanium frames: Moraldo and Deadani, united by the oversized shape, and Lilletto, with sun clip-ons. Deadani is an ultra-feminine proposal, while Moraldo is a sunglasses with double bridge enhanced by the sharp corners and enriched by the detail in acetate and leather-effect fabric.
Moving on to the optical line, Lilletto has a soft square titanium silhouette with thin acetate elements. The frame is available in metallic shades of silver and antique gold, combined with lenses with blue-block filter. The traditional aesthetic is completed by clip-on sun lenses in gradient shades.
The collection was immortalized in a campaign curated by fashion photographer Dennis Leupold, in the enchanting setting of Lake Como. The protagonists – a cast composed of famous models Erin Wasson and Harvey Newton-Haydon, Remy Clerima and professional water skier Kim Niederbäumer – tell an Italian story with a Californian spirit, as part of a joyful and dreamlike narration.
