This autumn Alba Optics presents its newest model, the highly anticipated Mantra. Sports sunglasses have always been at the heart of this young Italian eyewear brand and this frame is no exception. The Mantra is the piece that completes an already versatile collection of models, each designed for a specific sporting activity.

Dedicated to a pro cycling and running audience that value quality and efficiency through innovative design and a constantly evolving product performance, the Mantra has been designed with a single goal in mind: speed. It is not about going fast to win, but to beat yourself, to reach your goals to the best of your personal abilities.

The most notable feature of the Mantra is its single-piece frame design. A true athlete always wears glasses.For this reason the Mantra arms do not bend, allowing for a more fluid use in the wearers movements. Available in black and in white, the frame is made of Tr90, a material known for its flexible, hypoallergenic and ultra-resistant qualities. The temple tips- ergonomic and identical in shape to the models in the Alba Optics collection- are fitted with a thin but efficient rubber strip on the interior side, guaranteeing a better fit and grip on all surfaces.

The interchangeable VZUMTM lens, slightly smaller than other models in the collection, optimises airflow and ventilation while offering maximum coverage and protection on all face shapes. Available in two new high definition shades: the VZUM TM ML PLASMA mirror in polycarbonate and the polyvalent photochromic VZUM TM F-LENS ROCKET.

The first has a green tinted base and a multi-layered mirror finish that fades from indigo blue to bright red. Suitable for days with high solar intensity, it offers at the same time a more natural vision of colours. The second has very technical photochromic lenses. In case of low / poor light, the light yellow base allows the wearer to increase colour contrasts by 20% (compared to the classic clear lens). Once activated, as the light intensity increases the lens takes on a dark colour with a silver mirror finish.
