Celebrating two decades, Andy Wolf presents an anniversary collection that refines its signature shapes, materials and colours, balancing vintage references with a controlled, forward-looking design approach

Andy Wolf marks its 20th anniversary with a collection that consolidates the brand’s established visual codes while introducing a measured evolution of form, colour and concept. Over two decades, the label has developed a recognisable design language defined by strong geometries, pronounced colour palettes and a consistent balance between expressiveness and wearability. The anniversary collection positions itself within this continuity, combining references to the brand’s archive with a long-term outlook.

Central to the collection is a renewed focus on vintage-inspired shapes, reinterpreted through contemporary construction techniques. Notable among these is the ring-in-ring concept, presented in models Laurel, 4845 and 4846. The approach builds on the brand’s established shape-in-shape principle, using bonded acetates to generate frames with increased visual depth and layered proportions. The result is a series of silhouettes that emphasise structure and materiality without relying on overt ornamentation.

The collection also explores contrast as a design strategy. Thick acetate frames such as 4642 are juxtaposed with lighter metal constructions like 4844, while retro references are reintroduced with controlled updates. Model 4840, an oversized oval metal frame, exemplifies this direction, translating a familiar shape into a contemporary context through scale and refinement. In the sunglasses category, Paris represents a deliberate shift away from the narrow profiles that have dominated recent seasons. Its oversized dimensions and assertive presence position it as a counterpoint rather than a trend-driven response.

Colour plays a defining but disciplined role throughout the collection. Two exclusive triple gradients are introduced, including Future Dusk, which transitions from beige into layered tones of pink, green, purple and blue. These are accompanied by less conventional combinations—purple and cream with pink accents, plum paired with fuchsia, as well as black-grey, cocoa and butter yellow—used to reinforce form rather than distract from it.

The anniversary campaign extends these themes into a broader visual narrative. Developed in collaboration with a balloon artist, the imagery features sculptural floral forms that appear digitally generated but are entirely handcrafted. The aesthetic operates between retro references and contemporary visual culture, emphasising process and material over spectacle.

The floral motif also connects the campaign to the brand’s Grow With Us initiative. For every pair of glasses sold, one square metre of wildflower meadow surrounding the company’s headquarters is restored and maintained, aligning the anniversary with an ongoing environmental commitment rather than a one-off gesture.
