Balenciaga expands its eyewear offering with the new Gossip style, an ultra-light rimless design combining wraparound lenses, refined metal construction and the House's distinctive BB logo
Few fashion houses have influenced contemporary luxury as profoundly as Balenciaga. Founded by Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1917, the Paris-based Maison has long been recognised for its architectural approach to design, technical precision and ability to challenge conventional silhouettes. Over the past decade, Demna Gvasalia reshaped the House with a disruptive visual language that blended couture heritage with contemporary culture, an aesthetic that also left a strong mark on Balenciaga Eyewear. Today, as Pierpaolo Piccioli begins a new chapter as Creative Director, the brand builds on that legacy while looking towards a fresh evolution rooted in craftsmanship, innovation and the enduring spirit of Cristóbal Balenciaga.
The new Gossip styles reflects this approach with an ultra-light rimless metal construction that places emphasis on clean lines and advanced engineering. Available as both sunglasses and optical frames, the design features wraparound lenses paired with the stretched BB logo, interpreted either as a cut-out detail or in a low-relief sandblasted finish. The result is a streamlined frame that combines functionality with a strong graphic identity, while refined metal detailing further enhances the collection's minimalist yet recognisable character.
