Blackfin explores the elegance of simplicity with Pacific, a collection inspired by function, clarity, and contemporary style
“Good design is as little design as possible” is one of the core concepts in Dieter Rams’ design philosophy. A minimalist approach that connects aesthetics and elegance with functionality, discretion and restraint. The Blackfin Pacific Collection for Spring/Summer 2025 seems perfectly aligned with this vision, starting from the manufacturing process which, despite its complexity, aims to create frames that express a refined and contemporary simplicity.
These frames begin as a 3 mm block of titanium, which is precisely crafted down to ultra-thin thicknesses, removing any unnecessary soldering, and resulting in ultralight full-frame models. The colour on the Blackfin Pacific Collection is applied by hand, using a palette that explores contrasts within both glossy and matte finishes. A set of technical challenges leading to the creation of silhouettes with strong personality, fully in tune with the most current trends.
The proposals from the Blackfin Pacific Collection include: Palisades, a unisex model also available in a
sun version, which reinterprets the navigator shape with a high, slim bridge and gold or silver frames paired with blue or green cocktail lenses; Point Reyes, a men’s design with a square front and a distinctive bridge structure; Mendocino, similar to point Reyes but slightly smaller in size – in the sun version, it comes in gold or black with gradient green or brown lenses. All models are crafted within the Black Shelter Sustainable factory, Blackfin’s in-house facility located in the heart of the Dolomites.
