Caroline Abram translates the night sky into sculpted acetate, championing individuality through shifting volumes and bold proportions
Stars, the Milky Way, planets: the night sky we are fortunate enough to observe is a mystery of light and movement. Its powerful energy, which never ceases to fascinate and draw us in, inspires Starlight: the new collection by Caroline Abram.
The collection delivers a generous series of frames created to celebrate and emphasise women’s allure. It is characterised by a distinct and bold aesthetic, rooted primarily in the intent to promote individuality and a truly free idea of femininity. Beyond the power of imagery, the French brand focuses on material and volumes. Acetate is worked from a single block, sculpted and shaped to provide surprising details alongside exactly the right lightness. notches disrupt the linearity of the profiles with new rhythms: fan-shaped graphic lines and sharp edges catch the light from different angles.
All details are designed to give greater depth to colour, and a perception of volume that shifts with perspective. proportions are ample, reliefs more pronounced. Some shield frames feature substantial and expressive shapes, but there are also more discreet models designed for petite faces. A multiplicity of variables, then, aiming to capture the energy of the night.
