In occasion of Mido 2023, EssilorLuxottica presents some previews of their new main collections

Mido, the optical fair that will take place in Milan from February 4th 2023, brings with itself all the news of the season about the eyewear world. Among other participants, there is EssilorLuxottica that has reveiled us some novelties of their main collections. Let’s start from Dolce & Gabbana, with the model 0DG6184_501/87 and 0DG6187_501/87. Both and inspired by the models of the 90s and 00s and are characterized by bold shapes in a wide variety of colors and dedicated packaging.

From vintage inspiration to geometry with Versace Eyewear and the model 0VE1287_1443:  the Medusa is the undisputed protagonist of this metal eyeglasses, as evidenced by the Versace symbol applied to the temples. Geometric lines are the key feature of this navigator model, available in eye-catching shades of gunmetal, gold, and black gold. In the model 0VE2252_100187, instead, the hypnotic power of the Medusa invests a dynamic pilot frame characterized by a classic structure but enriched by the unmistakable Versace personality. Embossed jellyfish in contrasting tones land on the bridge and on a special plaque at the pole. The magnetism of the model is further emphasized by the stylish color combinations: gunmetal or gold temples with black decorations are combined with dark gray lenses.

Not geometry, but sophistication is what characterized the glasses by Giorgio Armani Eyewear (in the opening picture). Both the models 0AR8183_598833 and 0AR8182_598833 tell Giorgio Armani's brave and sustainable new story combining bold profiles and sophisticated tones with the brand's visionary commitment to sustainability.

Let’s go back to the past with Prada Eyewear and the models 0PR 26ZS_16K08Z and 0PR 27ZS_16K08Z. Inspired by the success of the history of Prada Symbole and the latest ready-to-wear collection, these models are an interpretation of the brand's most iconic symbol: the inverted triangle. Bold, geometric shapes in acetate with eye-catching colors and triangle temples with Prada's iconic logos.

Burberry Eyewear take a step back to the past too, but more precisely to the iconic jewels of the brand. On the one hand the model 0BE4389_6113 haa a fashion charm thanks to the modern interpretation of the emblematic Burberry letter logo. The acetate used for the front of the frames is made with at least 25% recycled content. On the other, the model 0BE4397U_300187 has the embossed rubber decoration, both solid and checkered, at the center of attention, elevating the brand to new urban levels. The bio-nylon used for the front of the frames is made with at least 45% bio-based content obtained from castor oil, a renewable resource.

Last, but not least, Miu Miu Eyewear has disruption as its main source of inspiration. The model 0MU 54YS_5AK5S0, at the heart of the SS 23 fashion show, has a disruptive metallic style with the vertical Miu Miu logo glimpsed on the temples. With an irregular shape with a frameless construction, the vertical Miu Miu logo is presented in shiny gold tones with a very rich and refined execution. Three elegant colors aligned with the fashion show, with matching transparent temples. With the model 0MU 10YS_1425S0, moreover, Miu Miu's new spring-summer 2023 collection continues to celebrate the success of the bold vertical logo at center stage with new shapes that show a disruptive touch. Bold designs in a full range of feminine shapes, with the vertical Miu Miu logo in gold tones both as a functional hinge and as a glamorous detail.
