The new Face à Face January collection expands everyone’s personal colour palette with new shades and combinations for its original eyewear
Associating colours with emotions is a game we play from childhood; it's a way to decode the world around us in relation to ourselves. however, as we become adults, we realize that reality is more complex, and we need new combinations to express ourselves and, why not, new shades to add to our personal palette. The new January collection by Face a? Face fulfills this task, ‘playing’ with shapes, volumes, and especially colours.
Among the key pieces in the collection, Didot stands out as a tribute to the eponymous typeface, playing with contrasts between thin and thick lines to create a captivating optical effect. The precision of French craftsmanship is evident in the crystal details and the refined frame construction. Bocca plum, inspired by the shape of a plum, introduces soft and elegant lines mixed with an energetic colour choice. The details evoke the feminine world, with two-tone elements at the end of the temples. Twill, named after the popular fabric weave, uses metal to create lightweight yet durable frames, achieved through advanced techniques in material removal and colour application.
The Otomo model fuses masculine elegance with modernity, featuring sophisticated contrasts between metal and acetate, and paying close attention to detail inspired by Japanese tradition. Lastly, hypno presents an avant-garde conceptual shape: The oversized temples and technical details that defy gravity offer a unique and futuristic frame where the colour combinations underline the originality of this eyewear.
