Henau

The non-finito principle

The new ‘sculptures’ by Henau, suspended between purity and roughness

Every frame is conceived as a work of balance and character at Henau, the brand that, over the past 25 years, has forged its own path off the beaten track. The new eyewear frames are in fact ‘wearable sculptures’, expressing a tension between form and raw matter through a design that feels as if it has just been released from its material block.

Temples, bridge and tenons remain deliberately rough, acting as a counterbalance to the refined front. This is the non-finito principle: artworks that can afford to remain unfinished, standing as witnesses to an ongoing, never-ending creative process.
