Inspired by the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms, J.F. Rey unveils a sculptural eyewear creation paired with an exclusive fragrance by Robertet, in a limited edition of 350 pieces
J.F. Rey explores a new dimension of eyewear design with Sakura, a limited edition created by J.F. Rey Lab and inspired by the fleeting beauty of Japanese cherry blossoms. The result is a striking pair of sunglasses with a sculptural identity, combining a fine metal structure with 3D-printed acetate elements. The front unfolds into an intricate openwork composition of organic lines, forming a flower-like corolla around the lenses and evoking the lightness and movement of petals.
The project is further enhanced by an unprecedented collaboration with Robertet, the historic French house specialising in fragrance creation and natural ingredients. For the occasion, the Grasse-based company has developed a Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette, featuring airy, powdery and luminous floral notes with fruity accents, translating the spirit of the frame into an olfactory experience. Presented in a 15 ml bottle, the fragrance accompanies each pair in a presentation box inspired by Japanese aesthetics, together with a custom-made case.
Limited to just 350 numbered pieces, Sakura features category 3 brown gradient polarised lenses with an inner anti-reflective coating. A project that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of eyewear, transforming sunglasses into a multisensory experience where technological innovation, design and fragrance converge in a distinctive creative expression.
