The long-established Austrian eyewear label Johann von Goisern is enjoying a stay in the spotlight thanks toits craftsmanship and daring design. For years, the brand has quietly built a reputation for handmade frames that don't shy away from colour, texture, or individuality. It is now gaining global recognition for just that.

At The Frame Affair, an international trade show held in New York City, JvG was one of just six brands honoured with an award. The spotlight was on its Art 034 model, which won the category 'Art Everywhere You Look'. What sets the Art 034 apart is its layered approach to design: each frame hashand-drawn engravings, which are digitally interpreted andthen precisely milled into the surface.

All frames are hand-finished, revealing intricate textures and subtle depth. The result is an expressive piece that reflects the human touchat every stage of production. While many brands chase trends, Johann von Goisern seems to be charting its ownpath, one design at a time.
