Continuing its journey of optical discovery and surprise, l.a. Eyeworks presents two new collections for spring/summer 2022. The optical collection, featuring 10 new designs, is complemented by a limited edition sunglasses capsule of six new designs.

This season, designers Barbara McReynolds and Gai Gherardi celebrate the defining pillars of their singular vision for eyewear: colour, construction, and expressivity. Across ten new designs, elaborate edges and cleverly articulated angles intensify l.a. Eyeworks' trademark devotion to riveting colour and pattern. Finding ourselves still halfway inside our cocoons and halfway on the path to emerging in full flight, the collection responds with proposals that speak to this contemporary paradoxical appetite for protection and spirited adventure. The new models, with evocative names like Cowgirl (in sparrow and bottle rocket), Baby Goat (in rock pool) and Vincent (in persimmon) reflect the soul of the brand impeccably.

Regarding the new proposal for solar models, l.a.Eyeworks issues a rare limited-edition sunglasses collection in a deep house blend that fuses affectionate nods to archetypes with extravagant new ideas for statement silhouettes brimming with sculptural charm, mesmerizing patterns, and radiant colour. To celebrate this special capsule, Los Angeles-based stylist and costume designer, Shirley Kurata stars as the portrait subject anchoring the release.
