The 10th anniversary of Nirvan Javan marks a milestone, a moment of reflection, gratitude, and new beginnings. Born in Zurich and shaped by Persian roots, Nirvan Javan’s story began with an apprenticeship as an optician. A rejection from a design school in Zurich became the turning point, an invitation to take fate into his own hands. In 2015, he founded the eponymous brand and launched his first eyewear collection.

The debut optical line, bearing his own name, was soon followed by the brand’s first sunglasses collection in 2017, marking the start of a distinctive, puristic design language. A year later, the first stainless steel collection was unveiled and presented at an international eyewear trade show. Bellevue Optics in Zurich became the first independent optician to join this aesthetic journey.

In 2020, the brand entered a new chapter with its first premium collections, handcrafted in Japan: the London Collection, crafted from exclusive Japanese acetate, and the Tokyo Collection, a refined titanium line. The Shades of Toronto marked the brand’s first premium sunglasses collection, inspired by the vibrant, multicultural spirit of the Canadian metropolis. By 2023, Nirvan Javan had evolved into a stock corporation, beginning a phase of internal restructuring. The launch of the Marrakech Collection, featuring playful details and vivid color compositions in premium Japanese acetate, highlighted this period of transformation.

Last year, the brand successfully completed a crowd-investing campaign and launched its own creative agency, expanding its vision into an ecosystem of design, storytelling, and service. The most recent Shades of Milan Collection embodies Italian elegance, introducing a refined signature logo into the brand’s evolving design language. In 2025, Nirvan Javan celebrates its 10th anniversary, a return to its Zurich origins and a renewed commitment to its philosophy of aesthetic clarity and cultural fusion.
