Jil Sander and Oliver Peoples present three new eyewear designs by Simone Bellotti, combining sculptural shapes, Japanese craftsmanship and refined colour contrasts
Jil Sander and Oliver Peoples unveil the second collection of their eyewear collaboration, introducing three new editions that explore the interplay between modernist rigour and organic softness. Designed by Jil Sander Creative Director Simone Bellotti in partnership with the Californian eyewear brand, the collection translates both labels’ design sensibilities into fluid silhouettes, sculptural proportions and carefully considered details.
Crafted in Japan and fitted with high-quality Italian-made sun lenses, the models combine technical precision with a natural, understated aesthetic. Edition 7 reinterprets the classic titanium frame through rounded lenses, a sculptural top bar and curved temples, creating an architectural profile enriched by vintage-inspired adjustable nose pads. Editions 9 (opening image) and 10 explore acetate in two distinct expressions: the former features a thick, sculpted front with angular lines that taper towards the face, while the latter softens its geometry with a rounded, slightly lifted silhouette and fluid, curved temples.
Colour plays a central role throughout the collection, with combinations ranging from subtle tonal harmonies to more pronounced contrasts between frames and lenses. Available in a selection of finishes, the three editions reflect Bellotti’s vision of eyewear as both an object and a gesture, balancing Jil Sander ’s modernist aesthetic with Oliver Peoples’ craftsmanship and attention to detail.
