Persol and Olivetti come together in a new eyewear collaboration developed with Fondazione Adriano Olivetti and Archivi Olivetti. Inspired by the iconic Olivetti Lettera 22 typewriter, the collection translates its balance of form and function, precision and colour into a contemporary eyewear language, combining Persol’s craftsmanship and Made in Italy tradition with Olivetti’s industrial design heritage.

The project centres on the PO3416V (opening image), a rounded optical frame produced in a limited edition of 2,500 pieces, with an engraved metal bridge, rubber-covered tips and slim metal temples recalling details of the Lettera 22. The model features a distinctive green colourway with silver and black temples and is also available in regular black and havana versions.

The PO3417S, indeed, is a rectangular sunglass style combining an acetate front and slim metal temples, with a metal bridge and red-tipped rubber details inspired by the typewriter. It comes in black with cherry-brown lenses or havana with olive-green lenses.
