Choose what stays, what evolves, what changes, but what also remains faithful to its nature and identity. Choose what has a long story to tell but is brand new! This is Sapiens: a new intense and essential eyewear brand based on the human being in flesh and blood, and designed for the continuous evolution of humans. Sapiens is an invitation to explore the boundaries of the present and reconnect with the past, beyond the confines of trends and market demands. Through its name, Sapiens takes us back to the evolution of the human race, when from apes we transformed into humans endowed with multiple abilities and potential.
Sapiens is also a paleontology research project of the different specimens that belong to our line of evolution as humans. The creative process is based on the study of the different skulls: their orbital spaces and facial features. These strong and bold shapes are refined and adapted to become wearable designs. These traits are reflected in the design of the frames, making them uncommon, unique and captivating.
Sapiens introduces the first drop of the collection with 7 models that define the baseline. In these frames there are bold and unique shapes sculpted from acetate. In addition, the colour palette corresponds to this paleontology research: natural and earthy tones inspired by cave paintings complement and highlight the shapes of the acetate. Sapiens challenges conventional thinking in the market and dares to create something unique.
