Hall of Frames once again brought a burst of creativity and color to the eyewear industry

Held on September 15 at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, Hall of Frames showcased the latest autumn collections from over 50 eyewear brands. From sustainable wooden frames to bold, colorful designs, HOF proved that this year’s trends are all about vibrancy and eco-consciousness.

Natural materials remain a central focus in eyewear design. Brands like Rolf, known for its pioneering use of wood, stone, and even beans, continue to push boundaries in sustainable fashion. Their unique creations are even featured in the Tyrol State Museum, demonstrating the enduring appeal of natural eyewear. Similarly, Italian brand Feb31st is celebrated for its colorful wooden frames, offering nearly endless color variations. One standout newcomer at this year’s HOF was Claude Zysset, who introduced an exclusive, handmade wood collection under the label Six-Sept. This Swiss designer’s attention to craftsmanship has made waves, further solidifying wood’s place in the world of eyewear.

Barcelona-based Woodys debuted at the event with its playful and colorful eyewear, originally crafted from old wakeboards. Anne & Valentin, a renowned brand from Toulouse, also embraced color, producing striking models that cater to both bold and petite faces. Meanwhile, Lübeck-based Colibris focused on offering colorful designs specifically for smaller face shapes. Known for its innovative color combinations, Ørgreen’s latest designs continue to surprise with their daring palette. Andy Wolf showcased its “Shape-in-Shape” line—an eye-catching collection defined by joyful color accents and intricate metal frames.

HOF maintained a minimal ecological footprint, producing hardly any waste, making it a model for eco-friendly trade fairs. The event has once again set the stage for future trends in eyewear design, leaving professionals in the industry inspired and looking forward to what’s next.
