One of the most important Far East eyewear exhibitions is set to take place from November 6 to 8 in Hong Kong
The Hong Kong International Optical Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is set to take place from November 6 to 8, 2024, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Celebrating its 32nd edition, the fair will employ a hybrid Exhibition+ model and will be complemented by the “Click2Match” business matching platform. Running from October 30 to November 15, Click2Match allows exhibitors and buyers to connect online, fostering business interactions that extend beyond the fair dates.
With over 700 exhibitors expected, the fair will feature group pavilions representing Mainland China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association, as well as other Chinese cities like Shenzhen and Yingtan. One of the highlights of the fair is the Brand Name Gallery, showcasing more than 200 renowned brands, including AllSaints, Anna Sui, and Vivienne Westwood. This zone underscores the event's commitment to premium eyewear and brand visibility.
Alongside the Brand Name Gallery, various zones are tailored for specialized categories like Smart Eyewear, Sporting & Professional Eyewear, and Optometric Instruments. The “Scan2Match” feature, available via the HKTDC Marketplace App, further enhances the experience by enabling visitors to bookmark favorite exhibitors and continue communication post-fair.
Educational highlights include the 22nd Hong Kong International Optometric Symposium, focusing on myopia control and prevention, and a seminar on the latest eyewear technology trends. Additionally, the 24th Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition, themed “Be Bold,” will display innovative designs from local creators, celebrating Hong Kong’s talent and creativity on an international platform.
This event, featuring a blend of digital tools, networking opportunities, and cutting-edge products, continues to cement Hong Kong’s position as a hub for the global eyewear industry.
