SILMO Paris 2024 once again positioned itself as the premier international event for the optical industry, showcasing cutting-edge trends and innovations while fostering enriching exchanges among professionals. Over four dynamic days, the event attracted 32,125 attendees, a 2.6% increase from last year, with 52% of visitors coming from outside France. More than 900 companies, spread across 75,000 square meters at Paris Nord Villepinte, presented their latest products, reinforcing SILMO's role as a vital platform for collaboration and the future of the industry.

This year’s highlights included the SILMO d’Or Awards, which celebrated its 30th anniversary, recognizing excellence in creativity, technical innovation, and design within the optical sector. Other standout events were the Optical Design Contest, promoting emerging talents, and the Committed Company Prize, awarded to businesses demonstrating leadership in corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Visitors were also treated to a range of immersive experiences, including SILMO NEXT, a space dedicated to exploring the future of optics from 2025 to 2035, where innovations such as augmented reality and personalized solutions were featured. The Trends Forum offered a comprehensive look at the latest eyewear styles, while the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France workshops provided insights into the exceptional craftsmanship behind French eyewear.

Beyond the exhibition, SILMO remains a year-round supporter of the optics industry through initiatives like SILMO Job, a recruitment platform for optical professionals, and SILMO TV, offering ongoing coverage of industry developments.

SILMO Paris continues to be a flagship event for the global optical industry, seamlessly blending innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability. The event will return next year from September 26 to 29, 2025, at Paris Nord Villepinte, with SILMO Istanbul taking place from November 20 to 23, 2024.
