As a medium-sized company and international label, Markus T stands for high quality, design-oriented spectacle frames 100% handmade in Germany.

By reconstructing a former distillery in 2014, designer Markus Temming laid the foundation to put his vision — creating an unconventional place for both life and work — into effect. The heart of his manufacture courtyard is the spectacle frame manufacturer, where handmade designer glasses are created, developed, and produced.

The owner-operated company was founded in 1999 and currently has around 50 employees. Since its foundation, the company has been awarded more than 45 times for both design and technical features — most recently with the German Design Award 2024 for the Dot Mono models in rosé gold.

The Markus T brand environment further includes plans for furniture, lamp, and interior design. Also, the design hotel Pélter, which is also situated in the manufacture yard, reflects the philosophy of the brand and its passion for essential design.
