Sabrina Régé Turo, creator of the brand that bears her name, tells us about the distinctive features of a product with two souls: French and Italian
French style and Made in Italy. How do you combine these two elements?
France gave me rigorous lines, clean shapes, and a sense of elegance that doesn't need to be flaunted. Italy gave me masterful craftsmanship, quality materials, and the ability to transform an idea into a frame that will last. The result is eyewear that combines character and comfort, design and technique, style and authentic production. I represent the fourth generation of a French family of eyewear artisans, and I retain their absolute respect for the craft: their knowledge of shapes, their eye for proportions, and their culture of ‘well-made.’ My personal contribution has been to bring this legacy into a more contemporary dimension: I have introduced innovative materials, advanced production techniques, and a freer and more international aesthetic. In other words, I have transformed a tradition into a modern creative attitude. Of all my designs, I'm particularly drawn to bold cat-eye shapes with full volumes. These frames reflect my personality and my vision of design: bold, feminine, contemporary.
How has your style evolved over the years?
My style has become increasingly essential. Years ago, I sought complexity; today, I seek truth. I've learned that the purity of lines and the sincerity of materials create a more intimate, more authentic luxury. over the years, I've learned to eliminate the superfluous, to work on lines and proportions in a more essential yet more powerful way. In fashion, I'm inspired by designers who work on balance and reduction; I look to those who can communicate strength without noise, femininity without excess. SS26 continues the brand's journey with essential frames with refined gold details. The colour palette is designed to enhance every face, while the premium Made in Italy materials guarantee comfort and durability. These glasses don't follow trends, they transcend them, becoming a gesture of conscious elegance.
What is your ideal customer profile today, and what markets are you strongest in?
My ideal woman chooses what represents her, not what's trendy. She seeks authenticity, quality, and design that doesn't need to be loud to be noticed. She's a curious, international customer who cares about sustainability and product durability – in a word: aware. Europe remains our strongest market, with particularly strong performances in france, Italy and Scandinavia. At the same time, we're seeing significant growth in the united States and several Asian markets, where demand for independent brands with a strong identity and high-quality production is constantly expanding.
