The energetic charge of a spiritual, vibrant, and fresh colour. Orange boldly asserts its presence on the face with unprecedented hues and striking shapes.
As changeable as the leaves of the Japanese maple, Orange Dream sunglasses are offered in shades that start with orange and evolve into different nuances, adapting to various shapes and materials. A colour with a deeply spiritual and luminous essence, it is capable of transmitting energy, while also lending itself to interpreting a sophisticated and bold trend, fully expressed in Kuboraum’s new Mask E21 (shown in the opening photo). Made of acetate, it is part of the Reisen series and seems almost sculpted on the face, thanks to its elongated, narrow shape, combined with a virtuous play of thicknesses and leveled edges that energise both the front and the temples, which feature spring hinges. Specifically, the Orange version is available in a Limited Edition exclusively at Kuboraum stores and at Dover Street Market in Ginza and London.
Inspired by the changing, effervescent colour of the Spritz aperitif from which it takes its name, the exclusive tone of certain Lapima models is enhanced and warmed by a matte acetate finish and expert craftsmanship of the front, which adds depth and softness to the frames. It represents an unusual and decidedly versatile version of orange – a free-spirited colour often used with transparent or semi-transparent materials that are crossed by light, such as in Gucci's GG1719S model. This model asserts its strong personality with ease, thanks to the contrasting grey lenses and a special prismatic effect achieved through various milling techniques.
The lenses of the ME6004 model by Moncler, in the same light orange tone as the frame, also embody this vibrant hue. Moncler, an iconic brand that has skilfully translated its sporting heritage into a contemporary urban style without ever abandoning its roots, creates a classic shape revisited with significant thicknesses that become ethereal thanks to the total transparency revealing the metal soul of the temples. Similarly, through the wide temples of the Kalopsia R14AP model, the worked metal core is visible, transforming from a structural element into an important decorative detail of this geometric sunglass. It is characterised by clean lines and smooth, polished profiles, reminiscent of a semi-precious stone. Kalopsia’s chosen tone is warm and natural, while the SSP 007/V model by Plein Sport takes on a more vitamin-rich hue. The brand represents the quintessence of luxury in sport, perfectly in line with the spirit and style of Philipp Plein. Super lightweight and comfortable, the injected mask with a single Zeiss lens is available in four colours and two versions: one with logo lettering printed on the temples, and another featuring the three-dimensional tiger head logo, the emblem of the maison. The strap connecting the two temples ensures maximum adherence, comfort, and stability on the face.
At this point, one might ask: Has orange become the new red?
