Mykita and 032c collaborate once again, fusing fashion and sport concepts. The result is Alpine – a new elegant and aerodynamic eyewear creation
Their first collaboration, celebrating Berlin’s independent spirit, gave life to Marfa, a creation made from Mylon, the innovative, and now iconic, material patented by Mykita which sold out on the eyewear brand's website. Now, Mykita and 032c return for the second time to unite their worlds with the launch of Alpine. This high-tech frame with its futuristic look merges the pioneering DNA of the eyewear brand with the principles of freedom, research and creativity of the media and unisex ready-to-wear label that has always aimed to bring about change in the world of fashion by informing, provoking and activating the imagination of its public. Presented in Paris last January, during Men's Fashion Week, and available in stores at the end of June 2024, Alpine expresses the aesthetic vision of 032c obtained through Mykita materials and technologies.
An enveloping model with a particular futuristic look, made of light and stainless steel, which clearly illustrates the intersection between the world of fashion and the world of sport. It uses the 'Mykita Lessrim' construction which allows the ultra-fine rims to disappear into a groove of the curved lenses. The distinctive temple design follows the bottom contour of the frame, creating flowing lines complemented by specially curved side pieces and achieving a high-speed, aerodynamic look. Accentuating its progressive style is the choice of three different colour combinations: the metallic editions in glossy gold and shiny graphite are paired with mirror flash lenses, whereas the black PVD coating with black lenses offers a more classic and monochromatic look.
