A shared vision of utility and precision defines the Mykita + OAMC eyewear collaboration, where advanced engineering meets utilitarian design to create contemporary frames grounded in function, craftsmanship, and modern industrial aesthetics
Advanced design rooted in utility takes shape in the new eyewear collaboration between Mykita and OAMC, a meeting of two progressive design forces united by a shared commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and functional aesthetics.
The capsule collection fuses OAMC’s visual language with Mykita’s engineering expertise with a utilitarian design ethos inspired by mid-century eyewear. Lightweight stainless steel is combined with Mylon material, whose matte, industrial surfaces evoke the tactile language of tools and field equipment, while flat base-two lenses reinforce the collection’s boxy, purposeful geometry. Subtle Mylon rings, shaped like modern blinders, add sculptural definition and practical side protection.
The capsule introduces two models: Rat, a sharp square navigator defined by a decisive, graphic presence, and Grunt, a softer panto silhouette with a double bridge that nods to retro utility with a quietly subversive edge. Premium sun lenses by Zeiss ensure relaxed vision, superior clarity, and full UV protection, enhanced by advanced anti-reflective coatings. Handmade at Mykita in Berlin, the collection is already available in selected stores worldwide.
