Black Shelter Sustainable Factory is Blackfin’s HQ in the Dolomites: a sustainable building blending design, renewable energy and local materials, with a strong focus on wellbeing and the environment
Designed with sustainability at its core, and true to Blackfin’s philosophy, Black Shelter rises in a unique setting, nestled between ancient forests and the majestic Dolomites. The headquarters was conceived to blend seamlessly into this landscape. Its monolithic exterior interacts with light and shadow throughout the day, while slender lines echo alpine peaks. Inside, every space is designed to enhance well-being and comfort. Black Shelter is a green building shaped by environmental responsibility.
Its aluminum facades are fully recyclable, energy is generated through photovoltaic panels, certified hydroelectric sources and a biomass plant, while interiors feature wood and stone sourced locally. Architecture mirrors nature: layered roofs reflect the Dolomite skyline, and glass surfaces capture the changing colours of the seasons. Certified CasaClima Work&Life, Black Shelter places people at the center. As CEO Nicola Del Din states, “Black Shelter is ‘neomadeinitaly’ turned into architecture.”
