Woodys CEO and founder tells us about the success of a brand born and developed in a region deeply contaminated by design and the arts

What is the most relevant news in the new collection?
The most relevant news is the commitment to designs for a younger audience, with more trendy and bold shapes, as well as improvements in fitting, with acetate temples and the use of high-end materials such as titanium. for us, it is important to pay attention to all the details that make every frame unique. That’s why we always choose the finest materials available on the market to guarantee a high-quality product that is durable and resistant.

Three words to describe your brand.
Woodys is colour, design, and singularity: colour, our strong point, differentiates us from the rest; design, because each of our designs is unique, with details that make the difference; singularity, in so much as our identity and brand image are disruptive and we are always seeking to stand out and tell singular stories.

How do your new headquarters most represent the soul of the brand?
In 2022 we built our new headquarters in Vic: a building of more than 3,000 square meters, including the warehouse where all the company logistics are managed. The most special thing is that it perfectly reflects our essence and style as it has been designed by our own creative team. Every detail has been meticulously considered in order to enter our universe just by crossing the threshold: colours, furniture, decoration.

Which markets are you focusing on more?
Our strategy is mainly focused on Europe but we are always trying to open up to interesting new markets with great potential. Right now, we are working on entering the Asian market.

How do you explain the strong presence of independent brands in the Barcelona area?
firstly, we are lucky to live in a country that is committed to independent brands, design, and innovation. Barcelona is an area where there is a lot of culture, art and fashion, and that has led to the emergence of many artists and designers who today are a great reference for us. It is a city that inspires creation and new projects. We are proud to be surrounded by good and healthy competition, something that makes independent brands ever stronger.

Which aspects make your brand ?unique’ compared to others?
The way we see the sector and how we work with colour in every sense, both in the product and in the brand identity, makes us unique. The chromatic harmony of our frames, the combination of laminates and the detail of the milling create a balanced and elegant collection that stands out on the shelves.
