One returns to the daily routine with a sober style and without excesses. Eyeglass frames that are apparently normal and classic, with special attention to quality and details
After the holidays, returning to the daily grind often calls for versatile outfits that suit every work and life occasion, 24/7. A practical style — understated yet refined and elegant — marked by a quiet confidence that still stands out. This theme is embodied above all by optical frames that help define a strong, authoritative, and reliable personality — qualities that are often essential in the workplace, especially in leadership roles.
It’s no coincidence, then, that Linda Farrow’s latest collection is called Office Hours, drawing inspiration from London’s vibrant energy and those women who “command the boardroom by day and the city by night”. The Heath model, crafted in glossy acetate, reimagines a classic shape with unique and luxurious touches — including a 22-carat gold-plated titanium inlay on the temples.
Details are also a key focus for Saint Laurent, which highlights the architectural shape of certain frames with the angle corner, evoking the rectangular glasses once worn by Yves Saint Laurent himself. A perfect example is the unisex SL 842.
The Graham Cutler Collection by Cutler and Gross pays tribute to one of the brand’s iconic founders and his consistent design philosophy — a timeless, essential style aimed at a discerning clientele. As Graham Cutler himself puts it: “The Cutler and Gross customer has always been an individual. Eccentric maybe, but a rare breed, certainly.” The GR14 model (pictured above), available in both Large and Small sizes, redefines the proportions of the classic Aviator 0822. Handcrafted in Italy from 8mm acetate, its silhouette features signature 3D milling and bevelling for all-day comfort and lightness.
Another master of understated elegance, Giorgio Armani, has left his mark on eyewear ever since launching his first collection in the late 1980s. Vintage inspiration and a forward-thinking mindset have driven his investment in sustainable research, in collaboration with key players in the global fashion scene. One of his defining codes — that sophisticated simplicity — is also reflected in the men’s AR7270T, a classic pantos shape with titanium temples, which can be paired with a sun clip-on.
Titanium also features in the ultra-thin temples of the men’s Woodrow model from Kaleos, fitted with signature screw-free hinges and a bold front — a standout from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. Ultra-light and comfortable, it tells the story of an experimental music producer without creative limits, who seeks not just great design but true quality and functionality in an optical frame.
The meeting of minds between Mykita and Leica — the legendary camera and optics manufacturer — has given rise to Mykita/Leica, a collection of sunglasses and optical frames that bring together the best of both brands. Handmade in the Mykita Haus in Berlin — a hub of ideas and cutting-edge technology — the ML17 model is offered in three colourways. With its aviator shape in stainless steel and ultra-thin Mylon rims, it showcases the innovative, high-tech material exclusive to Mykita.
Classic with a twist, the unisex Fevel model by Moscot comes in a distinctive Light Grey variant. Made from premium acetate with raised diamond rivets, it’s “a look so smart you could ace a quiz show, win at chess in three moves, and split an atom only in time for lunch,” as the iconic New York brand cheekily describes it on their website. Not bad, right?
